Inspection, Fitting and Diminished Value
Customers may inspect and handle products to the extent reasonably necessary to assess their nature, characteristics, appearance and fit, as they would be permitted to do in a retail store.
To protect the condition and authenticity of our products, certain items may be supplied with protective films, stickers, coverings, or other protective materials. Removal of these protective materials is not, by itself, grounds for refusing a return. However, where their removal results in the product no longer being saleable as new, we reserve the right to make an appropriate deduction from any refund to reflect the diminished value of the goods.
Customers may trial-fit bracelets and straps to assess fit and comfort. However, products must not be worn beyond what is reasonably necessary for inspection. Signs of use beyond such inspection may result in a reduced refund.
Examples of handling that may result in a deduction from the refund include, but are not limited to:
- Visible scratches, marks, dents, scuffs, or polishing marks.
- Creasing, stretching, deformation, or wear to leather, rubber, fabric, or other strap materials.
- Damage caused during fitting, sizing, or removal.
- Missing protective films, stickers, packaging, spare links, spring bars, tools, or accessories where this affects resale value.
- Evidence that the item has been worn for purposes other than assessing fit, appearance, or functionality.
- Dirt, odours, contamination, or other signs of use inconsistent with normal in-store inspection.
Where a returned item cannot reasonably be resold as new due to handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the product, we reserve the right to reduce the refund by an amount reflecting the loss in value suffered.
Where a returned item is received in a condition that prevents it from being resold as new, including where protective films or stickers have been removed and the item shows signs of wear or use beyond what is necessary for inspection, a restocking and diminished-value deduction of up to 60% of the purchase price will be applied to the refund.
This deduction reflects the significant reduction in resale value of products that can no longer be sold as new.

Condition of Returned Items
You may inspect and handle the goods as you would in a retail store to determine their nature, characteristics, and fit.
Returned items should be in a resalable condition and include any original packaging or stickers, spare links, spring bars, tools, and accessories where reasonably possible.
We reserve the right to make a deduction from any refund where the value of the goods has been reduced by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect them.
Return Shipping Costs
Unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied, customers are responsible for the cost of returning items.
We recommend using a tracked shipping service, as returned items remain your responsibility until received by us.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will process your refund without undue delay.
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
Where applicable, refunds will include the standard delivery charge paid at the time of purchase. Additional charges for expedited or premium delivery services are non-refundable.
We may withhold a refund until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence that the goods have been sent back, whichever occurs first.
Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or differs from the item ordered, please contact us as soon as possible at support@forstnerbands.co.uk.
Where an item is confirmed to be faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied, we will provide an appropriate remedy, which may include a replacement, repair, refund, and reimbursement of reasonable return shipping costs.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned unless faulty:
- Personalised or engraved items.
- Products manufactured to your specifications.
- Gift cards.
Sale Items
Discounted and sale items may be returned in accordance with your statutory rights unless specifically identified as non-returnable due to personalisation or another lawful exception.
Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy affects your legal rights under applicable consumer protection laws.
PLEASE NOTE:
If your strap comes with this sticker on the clasp and you remove it before testing the fitment, your strap is not returnable. This is because the strap is no longer suitable for sale as it will be classed as used. We are very strict on this policy.
PLEASE FIT THE ENDS FIRST THEN CHECK THE STRAP FITMENT.

Exchanges (if applicable):
If you need to exchange it for a different size, send us an email at support@forstnerbands.co.uk and send your item to:

Once it is received it will be processed and exchanged. If the item is sold out a refund will be issued. The item must be unused and in the original packaging.
You must be in the 14 day return/exchange window and the item must be unused.
EU Consumer Withdrawal and Returns Policy
Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase without giving any reason within 14 days.
The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party indicated by you (other than the carrier), acquires physical possession of the goods.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from the contract by a clear statement sent by email or post using the contact details below.
You may use the model withdrawal form set out below, but it is not obligatory.

Effects of Withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you for the goods purchased, including the cost of standard outbound delivery (if applicable), without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is earlier.
Refunds will be made using the same means of payment used for the original transaction unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.
You will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.
Returning Goods Following Withdrawal
You must send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from the contract.
The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the 14-day period has expired.
Unless the goods are faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied, you will be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.
Condition of Returned Goods
You are liable only for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.
You may inspect the goods as you would be permitted to do in a retail store.
Where returned goods show signs of use or handling beyond what is necessary for such inspection, we may make a deduction from the reimbursement to reflect any loss in value.
Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrectly Supplied Goods
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
If goods arrive damaged, are defective, or we have supplied the wrong item, please contact us as soon as possible. In such cases, we will provide instructions regarding return and reimbursement arrangements and will bear any return costs where required by applicable law.
Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- Goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised.
- Goods which, after delivery, become inseparably mixed with other items.
- Any other category of goods exempted from the right of withdrawal under applicable consumer law.
The fact that an item is discounted, on sale, or part of a promotion does not by itself affect your statutory withdrawal rights.
Sale/Final Sale Items (if applicable):
Unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded unless they are purchased on a discount code at the time of purchase.
Any final item sales are not refundable - these have no discount code and are on sale.
Refunds (if applicable):
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 14 days.
We do not cover the return shipping cost even in the event of the wrong item being shipped, this applies to both UK & EU as well as the Rest of the World. There are no exceptions.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable):
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your bank/credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
There is often some processing time before a refund is posted, this is usually 3-5 business days, sometimes sooner.

Gifts:
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will be notified out about the return. 14 day returns return window applies.
Shipping:

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable on EU orders. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund. UK orders the shipping is refunded.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are shipping an item over £75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
